Marshall Islands

Marshall Islands

The Marshall Islands are an unexplored paradise.

29 coral atolls and over 1,000 islands and islets make up this island nation and offer a wonderland for scuba divers, ocean lovers, and paradise seekers. The ocean surrounding the Marshall Islands teem with colourful coral kingdoms, weird and wonderful marine life, and shipwrecks.

Notable diving spots include: the reefs around Majuro, which are home to over 1,000 species of fish and breathtaking coral pinnacles; Bikini Atoll, which abounds with marine life and wrecks from World War II; and the Rongelap Atoll, which offers enchanting underwater landscapes.

For something a bit offbeat, Bikini Atoll was used as a testing site for nuclear devices between 1946 and 1958. One of these tests – Lucky Dragon – inspired Godzilla, a film legend and pop culture icon.

But while the allure of dreamy tropical landscapes and historical relics is undeniable, it is the thrill of going where only a few people have gone before that makes Marshall Islands such an irresistible destination.
