NAHCO handles United’s inaugural flight



The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc has announced the second entry of United Airlines into the country after its voluntary exit in 2016.

NAHCO said in a statement by its Head of Corporate Communications, Samuel Akinrinmade, on Thursday that it handled the American airline’s Lagos-Washington DC flight which arrived in country on Tuesday.

 The carrier’s flight UA612 touched down at about 11:10am at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, and was received by a host of dignitaries, according to NAHCO.

“United Airlines, having voluntarily exited the Lagos airspace since 2016, made its return with NAHCO as its preferred partner, providing passenger and ground handling services,” the handling firm stated.

The Group Executive Director, Business Development and Commercial, NAHCO, Mr Saheed Lasisi, expressed excitement on the development and described it as a boost for the industry.
